Somebody made a real stupid comment about disabled people on Facebook today and it brought it home to me how ignorant people really are. It made me speechless. Reading something like that makes me fear for Elijah. But I decided to let it go. I do wish however I had a built-in, shock-proof shit-detector which would tell me when to hold it and when to fold, when to walk away and when to run.
Or to say it with Reinhold Niebuhr: "God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference."
